Lime in all its formats is a fundamental product for achieving a more productive and sustainable agriculture. Farmers depend on our products for improving the fertility of the soil, enhance production of crops and feed their animals.
The products on offer from Microlime have as their objective the improvement of yields of soil and crops.
With the passage of time all soil tends to become more acid or to lower its pH due to erosion, leaching, and/or the decomposition of organic matter.
Farmers can revert the acidity of the soil with lime. Lime in agriculture acts as a conditioner of the soil, improves the physical, chemical, and biological properties of the soil, improves the availability of nitrogen and increases the level of nutrients for plants, by reducing toxicities and improving the effectivity of some herbicides.
Lime is considered an effective disinfectant in many national regulations or guides (Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland ……) and is commonly used as a disinfectant “in situ”.
Lime is used for the prevention and/or treatment of outbreaks of disease with the object of prevention. The common practice on chicken farms is the treatment of manure, earth, and walls, as well as in cattle stables and/or piggeries.
Calcium oxide is used as a reactive due to its high rate of reaction. It is used in the production of calcium soaps for animal feed.
